Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Land & Property and Diversified Holdings sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 50.00% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.3000 and Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) was up 24.79% or 8.80 points to 44.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Harischandra Mills PLC (CM:HARI), which lost 17.85% or 499.90 points to trade at 2300.00 in late trade. Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) declined 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) shed 7.14% or 0.100 points to 1.300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 124 to 73 and 47 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.80% or 0.39 to $49.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.11% or 0.57 to hit $52.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.47 to trade at $1256.97 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.39% to 196.695, while USD/LKR fell 0.25% to 152.320.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 98.91.
