Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Plantations, Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which rose 16.67% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.7000 at the close. Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL) added 14.08% or 4.90 points to end at 39.70 and Arpico Insurance Ltd (CM:ARIC) was up 12.71% or 1.50 points to 13.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which lost 15.53% or 134.40 points to trade at 731.20 in late trade. Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC (CM:ASHO) declined 11.66% or 139.90 points to end at 1060.10 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) shed 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 66 to 58 and 46 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.77% or 0.37 to $47.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.86% or 0.42 to hit $48.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.05 to trade at $1188.25 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.03% to 184.805, while USD/LKR rose 0.02% to 148.445.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 101.47.
