Sri Lanka shares lower at close of trade; CSE All-Share down 0.06%

Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Land & Property, Services and Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.06%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Eastern Merchants PLC (CM:EMER) added 19.05% or 1.20 points to end at 7.50 and Serendib Hotels PLC (CM:SHOT) was up 15.24% or 3.20 points to 24.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which lost 14.29% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.6000 in late trade. Lankem Ceylon PLC (CM:LCEY) declined 9.83% or 4.60 points to end at 42.20 and Amaya Leisure PLC (CM:CONN) shed 8.33% or 5.00 points to 55.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 63 and 62 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.61% or 0.29 to $47.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.35% or 0.19 to hit $53.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 8.60 to trade at $1342.60 a troy ounce.

GBP/LKR was unchanged 0.00% to 201.820, while USD/LKR rose 0.04% to 152.840.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 91.47.
