Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Hotels & Tourism and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240), which rose 9.78% or 6.59 points to trade at 74.00 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) added 4.14% or 0.38 points to end at 9.55 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 2.58% or 1.25 points to 49.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320), which lost 4.12% or 1.80 points to trade at 41.90 in late trade. Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) declined 3.75% or 1.09 points to end at 28.00 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) shed 2.97% or 0.62 points to 20.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 39 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.37% or 0.16 to $43.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.42% or 0.21 to hit $49.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.42% or 15.70 to trade at $1123.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 1.40% to 4.1992, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.18% at 96.08.
