Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Insurance and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Takween Advanced Industries (SE:1201), which rose 9.96% or 7.29 points to trade at 80.50 at the close. Trade Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8170) added 9.84% or 3.45 points to end at 38.50 and Mobile Telecommunications Company (SE:7030) was up 5.70% or 0.65 points to 12.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050), which lost 35.10% or 10.33 points to trade at 19.10 in late trade. Saudi Cement Company (SE:3030) declined 4.62% or 4.47 points to end at 92.25 and United Electronics Company (SE:4003) shed 3.96% or 3.35 points to 81.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 76 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.72% or 1.02 to $58.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.01% or 0.65 to hit $62.95 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.30 to trade at $1169.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.51% to 4.1596, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 96.19.
