WALLDORF, Germany and SANTA CLARA, Calif. - SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) (NYSE: SAP) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:NVDA) have announced a collaboration to enhance enterprise customers' ability to utilize data and generative AI within SAP's cloud solutions. The partnership focuses on creating SAP Business AI, which will include scalable, business-specific generative AI capabilities. These capabilities will be integrated into SAP's Joule® copilot and across its entire cloud solutions portfolio, supported by the SAP generative AI hub.

The initiative is part of SAP's strategy to incorporate generative AI directly into applications that drive global businesses, aiming to facilitate the adoption of these AI capabilities at scale. SAP will leverage NVIDIA's generative AI foundry service to refine large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific applications and deploy them with NVIDIA NIM™ microservices. The integrated capabilities are expected to be available by the end of 2024.

Christian Klein, CEO of SAP SE, emphasized the importance of strategic technology partnerships in delivering AI technology that adds real business value. NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, highlighted the potential of SAP's enterprise data to be transformed into custom generative AI agents to automate business processes.

The collaboration will see the integration of generative AI into various SAP cloud solutions, including the SAP Datasphere® solution, SAP Business Technology Platform® (SAP BTP), and RISE with SAP®. The partnership will explore over 20 generative AI use cases to simplify and enhance digital transformation. This includes automating enterprise resource planning in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, enhancing human resources use cases with SAP SuccessFactors, and generating new AI insights from SAP Signavio.
