Proactive Investors - Powerhouse Energy (LON:PHEG) has completed an important phase in the development of its Feedstock Testing Unit (FTU), manufacturing a new 2.5 tonne per day kiln.
The kiln, made by AGICO in China, was shipped on April 15 and its expected to arrive at the Powerhouse Technical Centre in Bridgend after about 45 days.
Ahead of its arrival, Powerhouse has also secured necessary additional systems and equipment from European manufacturers to complete the installation.
On site in Bridgend the company has installed and commissioned a new ventilation system, meanwhile, it noted that design of the facilities new feedstock delivery system is now also nearing completion.
"This is a huge milestone for Powerhouse, and we delighted to have achieved this given the issues and delays caused by the liquidation of our previous supplier Mitchel Dryers Kingmoor,” chief executive Paul Emmitt said in a statement.
“We are looking forward to the completion of the FTU towards the end of the year which will allow us to accelerate the development of commercial applications for our technology.”
Emmitt added: “I would thank our shareholders for their patience as this has been a long time coming and look forward to providing further updates in due course."
