Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 1.38% or 0.90 points to trade at 66.00 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) added 0.84% or 0.93 points to end at 111.73 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 0.64% or 0.20 points to 31.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included mBank (WA:MBK), which lost 4.23% or 20.10 points to trade at 455.05 in late trade. Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) declined 3.82% or 0.29 points to end at 7.31 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) shed 3.08% or 0.110 points to 3.460.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 310 to 181 and 173 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.11% or 0.05 to $47.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $49.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.62 to trade at $1223.82 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.12% to 4.2426, while USD/PLN rose 0.04% to 3.7395.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.00.
