Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Information Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were mBank (WA:MBK), which rose 2.17% or 10.00 points to trade at 470.00 at the close. Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) added 1.66% or 0.08 points to end at 4.89 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 1.15% or 0.43 points to 37.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which lost 5.60% or 415.00 points to trade at 7000.00 in late trade. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 2.62% or 1.83 points to end at 67.96 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) shed 2.20% or 4.10 points to 181.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 309 to 271 and 91 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.44% or 2.03 to $60.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.64% or 1.75 to hit $68.20 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.72% or 8.60 to trade at $1195.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.08% to 4.0331, while USD/PLN fell 0.27% to 3.6055.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 95.21.
