Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Property, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Minin (PS:SCC), which rose 2.75% or 3.5000 points to trade at 130.0000 at the close. Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) added 2.40% or 0.300 points to end at 12.780 and Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) was up 0.52% or 1.000 points to 192.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petron (PS:PCOR), which lost 4.45% or 0.400 points to trade at 8.510 in late trade. Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) declined 3.56% or 0.330 points to end at 8.950 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) shed 3.42% or 0.160 points to 4.520.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 125 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.79% or 8.70 to $1116.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.41% or 0.17 to hit $43.26 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.11 to trade at $49.82 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.29% to 7.2392, while USD/PHP rose 0.70% to 46.239.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.69% at 96.57.
