Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Property and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 6.36% or 0.900 points to trade at 15.060 at the close. Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) added 4.25% or 8.80 points to end at 215.80 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was up 3.46% or 4.1000 points to 122.7000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI), which lost 1.45% or 0.220 points to trade at 15.000 in late trade. Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) declined 1.25% or 0.090 points to end at 7.110 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 179.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 131 to 54 and 40 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.75 to $1256.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.15% or 0.58 to hit $51.02 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.38 to trade at $52.41 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.21% to 7.1999, while USD/PHP rose 0.16% to 48.415.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 97.87.
