Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC), which rose 4.48% or 0.540 points to trade at 12.600 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 3.06% or 0.950 points to end at 31.950 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 2.51% or 21.500 points to 878.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which lost 1.39% or 20.000 points to trade at 1420.000 in late trade. Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) declined 0.73% or 0.550 points to end at 75.200 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) shed 0.60% or 0.15 points to 24.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 88 and 50 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.13% or 1.65 to $1318.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.95% or 0.46 to hit $48.70 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.14% or 0.57 to trade at $50.76 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.55% to 7.2186, while USD/PHP fell 0.51% to 48.156.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.48.
