Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ), which rose 0.39% or 0.050 points to trade at 13.050 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 0.730 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which lost 3.62% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.453 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.49% or 0.030 points to end at 0.830 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 3.15% or 0.007 points to 0.215.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 3 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.32% or 0.17 to $53.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $55.08 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.65 to trade at $1133.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.37% to 3.3800, while EUR/PEN fell 0.47% to 3.5376.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 102.99.
