Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 5.17% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.57% or 0.100 points to end at 2.900 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 3.23% or 0.020 points to 0.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atacocha (LM:ATB), which lost 3.64% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.318 in late trade. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) declined 2.32% or 0.130 points to end at 5.470 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 1.95% or 0.050 points to 2.510.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 11 and 14 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.18% or 0.61 to $52.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.62% or 0.34 to hit $55.23 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1255.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.03% to 3.2465, while EUR/PEN fell 0.47% to 3.4422.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 101.08.
