Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 5.00% or 0.200 points to trade at 4.200 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 1.95% or 0.040 points to end at 2.090 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 0.33% or 0.110 points to 33.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 8.62% or 0.250 points to trade at 2.650 in late trade. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 6.25% or 0.040 points to end at 0.600 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) shed 3.74% or 0.170 points to 4.380.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.72% or 0.90 to $53.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $56.04 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1256.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2465, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4423.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 100.94.
