Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 8.00% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.080 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 6.78% or 0.020 points to end at 0.315 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 4.96% or 0.300 points to 6.350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 7.34% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.101 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 4.00% or 0.010 points to end at 0.240 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) shed 3.92% or 0.210 points to 5.150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.72% or 0.30 to $41.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $41.58 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.40 to trade at $1248.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.4070, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8256.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.67.
