Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.09 at the close. Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) added 1.91% or 0.210 points to end at 11.210 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) was up 1.75% or 0.100 points to 5.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 2.93% or 0.320 points to trade at 10.610 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.91% or 0.004 points to end at 0.205 and Milpo (LM:MIL) shed 1.84% or 0.040 points to 2.130.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.59% or 0.92 to $58.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.87% or 1.16 to hit $63.19 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.20 to trade at $1171.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.22% to 3.1425, while EUR/PEN fell 1.44% to 3.5272.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.95% at 96.39.
