Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General declined 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 2.86% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.175 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 0.60% or 0.030 points to end at 5.030 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was up 0.43% or 0.010 points to 2.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 6.25% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.150 in late trade. Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) declined 4.25% or 0.200 points to end at 4.500 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 3.69% or 5.650 points to 147.600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.17% or 0.67 to $56.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.43% or 0.28 to hit $63.70 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.52% or 6.20 to trade at $1204.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.1260, while EUR/PEN rose 0.95% to 3.3790.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 97.61.
