Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 2.10% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.940 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) added 1.60% or 0.003 points to end at 0.190 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 1.45% or 0.020 points to 1.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 5.88% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.160 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.60% or 0.040 points to end at 0.830 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) shed 3.89% or 0.850 points to 21.000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.48% or 1.81 to $53.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.70% or 0.99 to hit $59.11 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.75% or 9.20 to trade at $1209.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.39% to 3.1005, while EUR/PEN rose 0.16% to 3.3563.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.04% at 98.22.
