Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mining and Lima Assorted sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General fell 0.32% to hit a new 3-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 3.36% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.154 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 3.12% or 0.005 points to end at 0.165 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 2.63% or 0.010 points to 0.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 3.29% or 0.350 points to trade at 10.300 in late trade. Rio Alto Minin (LM:RIO) declined 2.85% or 0.080 points to end at 2.730 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 2.16% or 3.000 points to 136.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 8 to 7 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 4.24% or 2.08 to $51.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.63% or 2.62 to hit $59.09 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.54% or 6.50 to trade at $1203.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.29% to 3.0815, while EUR/PEN fell 0.25% to 3.3712.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 97.55.
