Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 7.14% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.750 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 5.50% or 0.710 points to end at 13.610 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 3.33% or 0.020 points to 0.620 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 2.17% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.350 in late trade. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 1.75% or 0.010 points to end at 0.560 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 1.41% or 0.040 points to 2.790.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.62% or 0.81 to $50.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $52.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.95 to trade at $1263.55 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3825, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7405.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 97.88.
