Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Lima Assorted, Telecoms and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 4.77% or 0.220 points to trade at 4.830 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 1.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.600 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 1.06% or 0.050 points to 4.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Luna Gold (LM:LGC), which lost 13.33% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.150 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 6.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.140 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 5.56% or 0.020 points to 0.340.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.28% or 1.19 to $53.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.13% or 0.67 to hit $59.71 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.80 to trade at $1192.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.1225, while EUR/PEN rose 0.22% to 3.2908.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 99.01.
