Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC), which rose 1.46% or 1.1 points to trade at 76.5 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 1.22% or 1.0 points to end at 83.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 0.54% or 1.0 points to 186.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which lost 3.93% or 0.43 points to trade at 10.50 in late trade. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) declined 3.52% or 1.95 points to end at 53.45 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) shed 3.46% or 14.6 points to 407.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 137 to 40 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.96% or 1.17 to $58.46 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.05% or 1.29 to hit $61.97 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.10 to trade at $1177.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.75% to 8.8204, while USD/NOK rose 0.73% to 7.8917.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 95.37.
