Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Media and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 4.65% or 2.10 points to trade at 47.27 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) added 3.91% or 1.48 points to end at 39.36 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 3.49% or 0.06 points to 1.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 5.29% or 3.4 points to trade at 60.9 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 3.62% or 0.39 points to end at 10.39 and Statoil ASA (OSLO:STL) shed 3.25% or 4.7 points to 140.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 69 and 8 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.05% or 1.46 to $49.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.97% or 1.52 to hit $52.85 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.80 to trade at $1143.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.47% to 9.1867, while USD/NOK fell 0.86% to 8.1427.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 95.39.
