Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy, Telecoms and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.33% or 6.6 points to trade at 289.9 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) added 1.42% or 0.75 points to end at 53.75 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 1.24% or 0.2 points to 16.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 4.10% or 0.81 points to trade at 18.94 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 3.83% or 0.33 points to end at 8.28 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 3.23% or 0.3 points to 8.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 77 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.42% or 1.07 to $43.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.15% or 0.99 to hit $45.10 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.90 to trade at $1327.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.43% to 9.4282, while USD/NOK rose 0.39% to 8.5863.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.40.
