Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Software & Computer Services and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 1.58% or 0.1 points to trade at 9.7 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.37% or 4.7 points to end at 346.7 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 0.07% or 0.10 points to 139.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 7.48% or 2.1 points to trade at 25.7 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 7.24% or 1.74 points to end at 22.30 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 6.38% or 0.43 points to 6.31.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 62 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.39% or 0.19 to $48.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.28% or 0.14 to hit $49.75 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.65 to trade at $1209.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.49% to 9.2804, while USD/NOK fell 0.71% to 8.3188.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.62.
