Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK), which rose 4.50% or 2.60 points to trade at 60.35 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) added 3.17% or 15.5 points to end at 505.0 and DnB ASA (OSLO:DNB) was up 2.39% or 3.2 points to 137.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 8.16% or 9.0 points to trade at 101.3 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 7.68% or 1.07 points to end at 12.86 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) shed 7.63% or 15.1 points to 182.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 55 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.90% or 1.16 to $59.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.96% or 1.32 to hit $66.44 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.61% or 7.30 to trade at $1183.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.25% to 8.4149, while USD/NOK rose 0.34% to 7.4599.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 94.73.
