Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which rose 1.19% or 0.1 points to trade at 12.8 at the close. Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL) added 0.50% or 0.9 points to end at 181.0 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was up 0.45% or 1.9 points to 427.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which lost 4.11% or 1.40 points to trade at 32.70 in late trade. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) declined 3.37% or 1.75 points to end at 50.25 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) shed 2.97% or 2.2 points to 71.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 67 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.52% or 0.25 to $48.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.29% or 0.71 to hit $54.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.84% or 9.20 to trade at $1084.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 8.9925, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 8.1936.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 97.38.
