Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Banking and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.04% or 0.70 points to trade at 14.59 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 4.33% or 0.05 points to end at 1.11 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 3.23% or 3.5 points to 111.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which lost 3.00% or 0.86 points to trade at 27.80 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.61% or 5.90 points to end at 220.20 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 2.51% or 3.6 points to 139.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 103 to 73 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.74% or 0.32 to $43.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.93% or 0.43 to hit $45.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.61 to trade at $1246.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.03% to 9.5166, while USD/NOK fell 0.04% to 8.5410.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.38.
