Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DnB ASA (OL:DNB), which rose 0.99% or 0.9 points to trade at 97.2 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 0.99% or 2.8 points to end at 286.9 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 0.97% or 1.10 points to 114.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 3.40% or 4.70 points to trade at 133.70 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 2.57% or 0.6 points to end at 23.1 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 2.47% or 0.04 points to 1.46.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 71 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.58% or 1.15 to $45.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.49% or 1.17 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 5.15 to trade at $1348.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.34% to 9.1957, while USD/NOK fell 0.03% to 8.2110.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.47.
