Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Diversified Financials and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 1.78% or 1.90 points to trade at 108.50 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 1.05% or 0.09 points to end at 8.69 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 0.58% or 1.6 points to 275.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.50% or 1.1 points to trade at 23.6 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.44% or 7.4 points to end at 295.6 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 2.03% or 0.2 points to 8.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 67 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.37% or 1.40 to $40.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.10% or 1.35 to hit $42.18 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.65 to trade at $1359.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.40% to 9.4737, while USD/NOK rose 0.41% to 8.4764.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.60.
