Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Telecoms and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 12.54% or 0.16 points to trade at 1.41 at the close. Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 2.82% or 12.8 points to end at 467.2 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 0.98% or 0.39 points to 40.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.85% or 1.5 points to trade at 29.2 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 3.22% or 9.3 points to end at 279.6 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) shed 2.02% or 3.20 points to 155.64.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 91 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.73% or 0.39 to $54.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.60% or 0.34 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.45 to trade at $1173.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 9.0009, while USD/NOK rose 0.52% to 8.5244.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 101.97.
