Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 5.80% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.88 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 4.51% or 2.30 points to end at 53.30 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was up 2.92% or 2.20 points to 77.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR), which lost 5.99% or 24.3 points to trade at 381.1 in late trade. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) declined 3.18% or 17.5 points to end at 533.5 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) shed 2.72% or 0.4 points to 13.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 75 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.65% or 1.57 to $60.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.83% or 1.85 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.82% or 9.70 to trade at $1192.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.51% to 8.4007, while USD/NOK fell 1.24% to 7.4746.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 94.48.
