Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Materials and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 3.16% or 4.10 points to trade at 134.00 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 2.98% or 7.80 points to end at 269.60 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 0.92% or 1.30 points to 141.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.22% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.01 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 3.09% or 1.80 points to end at 56.50 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 2.75% or 0.03 points to 0.99.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 76 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.08% or 0.55 to $51.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.90% or 0.49 to hit $54.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.45 to trade at $1252.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.1772, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.6176.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.58.
