Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which rose 6.58% or 2.10 points to trade at 34.00 at the close. Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) added 3.30% or 2.10 points to end at 65.75 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was up 3.28% or 0.5 points to 14.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which lost 3.31% or 1.43 points to trade at 41.81 in late trade. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) declined 2.35% or 0.04 points to end at 1.78 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) shed 2.12% or 4.0 points to 185.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 63 and 2 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.15% or 0.09 to $59.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1172.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 8.7510, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 7.8455.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 95.72.
