Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Energy and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 3.58% or 2.45 points to trade at 70.95 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) added 2.88% or 2.70 points to end at 96.40 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was up 2.52% or 0.31 points to 12.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS), which lost 12.44% or 24.5 points to trade at 172.5 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) declined 4.01% or 1.81 points to end at 43.32 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) shed 3.36% or 1.75 points to 50.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 84 and 7 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $51.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.28% or 0.17 to hit $58.78 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.30 to trade at $1199.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 8.5655, while USD/NOK fell 0.11% to 8.0920.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 99.72.
