Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Auto & components, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 2.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 8.20% or 0.7 points to trade at 9.1 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 7.71% or 0.44 points to end at 6.15 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 4.92% or 16.1 points to 343.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which lost 5.40% or 1.74 points to trade at 30.46 in late trade. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) declined 1.05% or 0.70 points to end at 66.00 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 0.52% or 0.1 points to 28.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 136 to 46 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.70% or 1.31 to $49.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.66% or 1.31 to hit $50.48 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.45 to trade at $1288.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.71% to 9.3530, while USD/NOK fell 1.18% to 8.2618.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 93.69.
