Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Materials and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 7.49% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.32 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 4.88% or 2.00 points to end at 42.95 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 3.27% or 0.77 points to 24.32 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 1.45% or 3.8 points to trade at 258.9 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 1.09% or 1.60 points to end at 145.00 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 312.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 66 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.19% or 0.10 to $53.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $56.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.63% or 7.85 to trade at $1246.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.02% to 8.8757, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.4012.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 101.60.
