Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Materials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 5.36% or 1.08 points to trade at 21.24 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.88% or 0.36 points to end at 7.74 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 2.80% or 0.3 points to 11.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 3.63% or 0.6 points to trade at 15.4 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.77% or 0.03 points to end at 0.95 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 2.12% or 0.70 points to 32.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.16% or 0.52 to $45.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.46% or 0.68 to hit $47.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.45% or 6.05 to trade at $1324.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.53% to 9.0530, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 8.0847.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 95.56.
