Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Software & Computer Services and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 5.52% or 5.5 points to trade at 104.2 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) added 3.77% or 20.0 points to end at 551.0 and Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) was up 2.71% or 1.80 points to 68.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 4.26% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.78 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 1.31% or 0.16 points to end at 12.05 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) shed 1.15% or 0.65 points to 56.05.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 84 on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.61% or 0.36 to $59.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.18% or 0.78 to hit $65.38 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.70% or 8.30 to trade at $1180.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.61% to 8.4286, while USD/NOK rose 1.11% to 7.5678.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 95.20.
