Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Materials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC), which rose 4.19% or 3.2 points to trade at 80.8 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) added 4.14% or 0.44 points to end at 11.07 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) was up 4.03% or 1.20 points to 31.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 3.21% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.81 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) declined 0.84% or 2.7 points to end at 317.6 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) shed 0.27% or 0.15 points to 55.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 84 and 4 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.08% or 0.65 to $61.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.51% or 0.95 to hit $64.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.80 to trade at $1177.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 8.7561, while USD/NOK rose 1.17% to 7.8335.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.08% at 95.54.
