Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Diversified Financials and Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which rose 5.06% or 0.7 points to trade at 13.5 at the close. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) added 4.86% or 0.09 points to end at 1.90 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was up 3.93% or 2.35 points to 62.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY), which lost 2.23% or 0.79 points to trade at 34.65 in late trade. Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) declined 0.91% or 0.55 points to end at 59.95 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) shed 0.62% or 1.2 points to 192.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 121 to 58 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.07% or 1.26 to $59.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.58% or 1.66 to hit $62.60 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1202.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.34% to 8.8254, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 7.7856.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.42.
