Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 4.65% or 4.5 points to trade at 101.3 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) added 2.72% or 0.32 points to end at 12.10 and Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) was up 2.46% or 2.0 points to 85.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which lost 4.24% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.65 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) declined 3.05% or 9.6 points to end at 238.0 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) shed 2.11% or 0.79 points to 36.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 81 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.92% or 1.72 to $60.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.45% or 1.59 to hit $66.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.33% or 4.00 to trade at $1204.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.02% to 8.3989, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 7.5465.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 95.35.
