Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Capital Goods and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 7.01% or 7.1 points to trade at 108.4 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) added 4.51% or 3.8 points to end at 88.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 3.49% or 6.7 points to 198.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which lost 2.39% or 12.5 points to trade at 510.5 in late trade. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) declined 1.78% or 0.04 points to end at 2.21 and Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) shed 1.68% or 1.55 points to 90.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 92 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.41% or 2.01 to $60.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.57% or 1.71 to hit $68.16 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.72% or 8.50 to trade at $1195.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 8.4744, while USD/NOK fell 0.23% to 7.5783.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 95.25.
