Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 7.67% or 10.2 points to trade at 144.2 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 4.47% or 10.5 points to end at 245.5 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 4.29% or 11.80 points to 287.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 7.24% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.05 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 5.54% or 0.34 points to end at 5.80 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 3.19% or 1.70 points to 51.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 79 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.38% or 1.18 to $48.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.29% or 1.20 to hit $51.21 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.45 to trade at $1266.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 9.3323, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.5923.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 99.13.
