Proactive Investors - Naked Wines (LON:WINEW), the online retailer, confirmed its newly appointed chief executive officer Rodrigo Maza has begun his role at the company.
Maza was initially appointed as the wine group’s new boss back in February but was scheduled to take charge at the start of the company’s new financial year.
Back in September 2023, the new boss took on the role of UK managing director, bringing experience from the alcohol beverage sector, having launched and scaled several successful online delivery businesses.
Naked Wines has also announced the appointment of Paul Calandrella as its general manager for its USA operations.
Calandrella is set to start his role within the next few weeks and will bring around 20 years of experience working in consumer-focused jobs in both the branding and retail sectors.
Most recently, Calandrella worked at a re-commerce startup, which was backed by venture capitalists, and before that, he held roles at Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and REI.
Rowan Gormley, the group’s former chief executive and founder, will revert to his previous role as non-executive chairman, helping both Maza and Calandrella with their transitions into leadership roles.
