Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Banking and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 9.98% or 3.08 points to trade at 33.95 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 9.96% or 12.05 points to end at 133.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 9.95% or 9.90 points to 109.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which lost 6.14% or 3.37 points to trade at 51.50 in late trade. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) declined 5.49% or 9.00 points to end at 155.00 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) shed 4.93% or 11.15 points to 215.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 23 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.52% or 0.27 to $52.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $55.84 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.30% or 15.60 to trade at $1211.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.34% to 10.7050, while USD/MAD fell 0.51% to 10.0105.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.04% at 100.47.
