Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Transport, Distributors and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA), which rose 5.73% or 65.0 points to trade at 1200.0 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 3.32% or 45 points to end at 1400 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 2.97% or 15.00 points to 520.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which lost 5.84% or 7.60 points to trade at 122.50 in late trade. SMI (CS:SMI) declined 5.79% or 168 points to end at 2732 and Taslif (CS:TSF1) shed 5.33% or 1.60 points to 28.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 20 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.61% or 0.33 to $53.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.32% or 0.18 to hit $56.78 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.62% or 18.45 to trade at $1159.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.17% to 10.6370, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 10.1545.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.54% at 102.68.
