Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Managem (CS:MNG), which rose 3.65% or 30 points to trade at 850 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 3.41% or 1.88 points to end at 56.90 and Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1) was up 3.33% or 50 points to 1550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CDM (CS:CDM), which lost 5.99% or 28 points to trade at 433 in late trade. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) declined 5.84% or 69 points to end at 1111 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) shed 4.40% or 2.44 points to 53.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.21% or 0.59 to $49.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.58% or 0.77 to hit $49.38 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.70 to trade at $1224.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 10.8660, while USD/MAD fell 0.12% to 9.7379.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.41.
