Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Distributors and Forestry & Paper sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.44% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maghrebail (CS:MAB), which rose 3.80% or 29 points to trade at 800 at the close. Ennakl (CS:NAKL) added 2.47% or 0.99 points to end at 40.99 and Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) was up 2.37% or 53 points to 2280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which lost 6.00% or 8.10 points to trade at 126.90 in late trade. Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) declined 4.85% or 51 points to end at 1000 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) shed 3.36% or 40 points to 1150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.21% or 0.12 to $57.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.47% or 0.94 to hit $62.78 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1187.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.04% to 10.7440, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 9.8690.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 97.50.
